Chair Care is a program that addresses vaccine hesitancy. Its goal is to increase awareness about COVID-19, long COVID-19 and flu among New Mexicans via Trusted Messengers (TMs): local hair stylists working in privately owned salons. TMs receive tools to feel more confident having conversations about vaccine hesitancy and long COVID-19.

Keres will expand outreach and engagement to Pueblos and Apache Tribes, identify points of contact, discuss vaccine challenges and barriers and current COVID-19 protocols/policies, develop a Tribal Vaccine Equity Training/Module and Immunization Curriculum based on prior, current, and future procedures of COVID-19 and general vaccination standards (influenza, RSV, etc.) , , and increase involvement with stakeholders in the capacity of meetings and outreach.
